Our Winter Book Club comes just at the perfect time each year. In February, when we are really tired of Winter and looking forward to seeing those first little green sprouts of Spring. This is the time to make reading fun and you could even win a prize.
This is an adult only reading program and after you read your 5 books from our libraries or from our EBook site, you qualify for the drawing gift that is always nice! Look for the promos in the newspaper, on our Facebook page and on our front signs at the libraries.
Geared towards the children, but open to all ages. All you have to do is sign up and read the required number of age appropriate books in the allotted program timeframe. Be a good role model for your kids, they will read more if they see that you enjoy reading. There’s a party with even more goodies at the end of the program.
The Summer Reading Program begins in May and runs through July. The program begins with a kick off party in May and a completion party in July. The Program is available at both Fort Branch and Haubstadt locations.

We also provide colored pencils, markers and gel pens. See what others are working on, share coloring ideas, bring a friend or make a new friend while you are here.
This activity is held at the Fort Branch Learning Center the first Tuesday of every month from 4-6pm.
We have a list of books to read from September through April every year. On the second Thursday of the month we meet, discuss that month’s book and hand out the book for the next month. It is a great opportunity to meet with others that enjoy reading, discuss topics in that book and maybe even encourage you to read a different genre or a different author that you may not have otherwise chosen. Accept the challenge and come join us at the Haubstadt library from 6-7 pm the second Thursday of the month.
