Winter Warm-up is our annual wintertime adult reading program. Every year, around mid-January to the end of February, we encourage adults to participate in this program for a chance to win a prize. The requirements to be entered in the prize drawing are to read four library books (e-books and audiobooks also count), fill out a reading log sheet, and turn in the completed log sheet before the end of the program.
Geared towards the children, but open to all ages. All you have to do is sign up and read the required number of age appropriate books in the allotted program timeframe. Be a good role model for your kids, they will read more if they see that you enjoy reading, too! There’s a party with even more goodies at the end of the program.
The Summer Reading Program begins in May and runs through July. The program begins with a kick off party in May and a completion party in July. The Program is available at both Fort Branch and Haubstadt locations.
Join us for an evening of some good old fashioned games in the Activities Room in the Fort Branch Learning Center. This is for adults only and will be hosted on the 3rd Friday every other month from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. We play Dominoes, Card Games and lots of different Board Games. Bring a dessert or snack to share and we provide pizza and drinks. Check out our calendar for the next night of fun!
We have a list of books to read from September through April every year. On the second Thursday of the month we meet, discuss that month’s book and hand out the book for the next month. It is a great opportunity to meet with others that enjoy reading, discuss topics in that book and maybe even encourage you to read a different genre or a different author that you may not have otherwise chosen. Accept the challenge and come join us at the Fort Branch location – Activities Room from 6-7 pm the second Thursday of the month.
